Stockholm Nights is an experimental short that’s been nominated to film festivals worldwide. the film is inspired by the filmmaker’s own experiences growing up in the South Side of Stockholm, a neighbourhood dealing with a rise in violence in recent years. The film follows a group of young people who, through their close friendship and passion for sports, are determined to stay clear of the gang culture that dominates their area. Made with the intention of giving a voice to these often misunderstood youths, Stockholm Nights shines a light on their resilience and the strength they find in each other, offering a raw and personal glimpse into their struggle to break free from the cycle around them.

Söder Om Söder is a street photography exhibition that delves into the heart of South Stockholm, capturing the essence of the area in the late summer of 2024. In connection with the filmmaker’s experimental short film Stockholm Nights, the exhibition combines his passion for storytelling with the art of still photography, offering a unique perspective on this often overlooked part of the city. The collection features a mix of striking portraits and evocative stills of South Stockholm’s landmarks, each photo telling its own story. The purpose of Söder Om Söder is to document the area’s culture, people, and monuments, preserving a snapshot of a moment in time. The filmmaker believes that documentation is crucial for future generations, allowing us to look back regardless of what changes—so that we can remember and reflect on the place and people that shaped us.
