I’m TJ—a filmmaker, storyteller, and creative force driven by the belief that where there’s a will, there’s always a way. This mantra fuelled the creation of my 2024 web series Last Year of Uni, a heartfelt and humorous exploration of the chaos and beauty of student life. Writing the entire series in just three weeks—while completing my dissertation, working a part-time job, and navigating my final year of university—was a testament to my passion and determination to bring ideas to life, no matter the obstacles.
In my element, I thrive in the world of romantic dramas and comedies, weaving stories that explore love, relationships, and the complexities of human connection. But I refuse to be confined to any one genre. My 2021 short film Looking For Sosa is proof of that. Diving into action and mystery, the film follows two school officers on a high-stakes hunt for Sosa, a mysterious figure exposing secrets online. It’s a story of suspense, wit, and intrigue—an example of my commitment to creating compelling narratives across diverse genres.
At my core, I’m a filmmaker who values bold storytelling and collaborative creativity. Whether through intimate romances, laugh-out-loud comedies, or edge-of-your-seat thrillers, my mission is simple: to craft stories that stick, leaving audiences entertained, moved, and thinking about them long after the credits roll.
